AIM OF THE COURSE



This qualification will offer candidates the opportunity to develop specific skills in the operation of goods vehicles. The objective of this qualification is to equip learners with the skills and competencies they need to:

  • Drive their chosen vehicle correctly
  • Load and unload the vehicle
  • Deal with payment transactions
  • Plan rotas and timings in logistics operations.

The qualification covers Motor Cycle/Pedal Cycle, Van, Rigid Vehicle and Articulated or Drawbar Vehicle types, allowing learners to specialise in one particular area.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?



It is expected that candidates should hold the appropriate licence (full or provisional) for the vehicle for which they are being assessed, in order to complete the qualification.

There are no other specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification.

CERTIFICATION



The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Driving Goods Vehicles has been accredited by the qualifications regulators for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).
