AIM OF THE COURSE


The Skillsfirst Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Principles (Food Production and Cooking) (QCF) is designed for learners employed in catering roles such as a kitchen assistant, school or general cook, team member or chef, who already have some knowledge and basic skills in the catering industry – possibly from a role where they work under supervision – and wanting a formal qualification to help them in their catering career.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?


There are no formal entry requirements for learners undertaking this qualification; however centres must ensure that learners have the potential and opportunity to gain evidence for the qualification in the work place.

CERTIFICATION


The qualification and credit framework (QCF) is a way of recognising achievement through the award of credit for units and qualifications.
